Subaru of America, Inc. announced yesterday that Bill Cyphers has been appointed as the company's senior vice president of sales. .
Mr. Cyphers is replacing Tim Colbeck who left the Japanese automaker earlier this week in order to take over as president and COO of Saab Cars, North America.

Bloomberg reported earlier today that as the United States government works on divesting its investments in the auto industry, Fiat, S.p.A. has options to increase its holdings of Chrysler to over 70 percent.
Alabama Auto Plants Recover from Tornado Damage
The tornado that decimated portions of Tuscaloosa, Alabama on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 damaged the Mercedez-Benz U.S. International auto assembly plant north of the city, but the facility will resume production on Monday, May 2.
