Every year, GEICO Insurance is recognized as a leader in charitable contributions throughout the country. This year, GEICO Insurance associates pulled out all stops by holding silent auctions, art shows, car washes and rock band competitions to overwhelm all expectations by raising $185,000 to donate to the Children's National Medical Center.

To provide funds in order for the children of needy parents to receive treatment for their illness, is just one of the goals of the Children's National Medical Center, a pediatric hospital in Washington, D.C. Donations like the one from GEICO Insurance allows families to receive a full spectrum of services including those from social workers, Pastoral Chaplains, and Life Counselors.

By a group effort including efforts by associates at GEICO's headquarters in Chevy Chase, and MD, Rockville, MD, and Fredericksburg, VA offices, $129,000 was raised and added to funds made available by the GEICO Philanthropic Foundation. This amount broke last year's record donation. In addition, GEICO announced its plans to expand its partnership with the Children's National Medical Center to develop new partnerships which will also benefit the hospital.
