2007 Buick LaCrosse Review

The five-passenger 2007 Buick LaCrosse is offered in three models: the CD ($23,035); the CSL ($25, 450); and the CXS ($27,665). The CX and CXL are each powered by a 3800 Series III V6 engine with a 3.8 liter capacity. Estimated mileage performance for the unit is 20 mpg in the city and 30 on the open road. Buick outfitted the CXS with a 3.6 liter V6 drawing 19 mpg around town and 27 on the highway. All the LaCrosse models run on a 17 gallon gas tank.

Look for 16 cubic feet in the trunk and expect to haul about 1,000 lbs. when the vehicle has the right towing package in place. In terms of physical space you're getting 39.4 inches of head clearance up front and 37.2 in the back seat. You can stretch your legs through 42.3 inches front and 37.6 rear. Two-stage air bags protect the driver and passenger with additional bag units to the right and in the side-impact curtain position. A sensor system monitors all seating positions to regulate safety bag deployment. For smaller passengers the LaCrosse offers the industry standard LATCH system used to anchor child seats.

The sound system in the 2007 Buick LaCrosse pumps across six speakers relying on a combo unit featuring AM/FM and a CD with tone control and speed variable volume. (Theftlock protects the audio unit in the dash.) Choose an upgrade to nine speakers and gain a CD changer in the dash capable of handle six discs. On both the CS and the CXL you can opt for XM Satellite Radio, a feature included in the CXS.
