2007 Cadillac SRX Review

The Cadillac SRX Crossover is available as a 255 hp, 3.6-liter V6 for $37,855 and as a 320 hp, 4.6-liter V8 for $44,060. The V6 has a Hydra-Matic 5-speed while the V8 is a six-speed. Rear-wheel drive is standard; all-wheel drive optional. Estimated fuel economy is 16 mpg city, 24 highway for the V6 RWD, 16/23 for the AWD. The V8 registers 15 city and 22 highway with both RWD and AWD.

With seating for seven (2 front, 3 middle, 2 rear) the SRX offers 40.3 inches of headroom in the front, 38.4 in the middle, and 35 in the rear. Leg room is just as generous with 42.1, 41, and 24.2 respectively. Cargo space behind the first row measures 69.5 cubic feet, with 32.4 behind the second, and 8.4 behind the third. The SRX will tow 2,000 lbs. but that capacity jumps to 4,250 when the vehicle has comprehensive towing equipment.

The 2007 Cadillac SRX relies on an all wheel braking system with anti-lock that includes brake assist. Other features include independent suspension and traction control as well as steering with speed sensitivity. Both the driver and front passenger have fuel air bag coverage with passenger protected on the side and in the head or "curtain" position in the outboard areas.
