Cadillac Escalade EXT

The Cadillac Escalade EXT is predominantly a pickup truck that General Motors introduced in 2002. The originality of the Escalade EXT is quite debatable as the vehicle bears striking resemblance with Chevrolet Avalanche. General Motors came up with the EXT especially to fill up the void after the exit of Lincoln's Blackwood luxury pickup truck. However, EXT is capable of scoring over its rivals because the vehicle has combined features of a truck with the spaciousness of SUV along with the luxury of Cadillac. Buyers will definitely find it extremely difficult to stay away from such versatility.

The most interesting aspect of the Escalade EXT is that it can play many roles with aplomb. Despite being a sport utility truck, the vehicle can smoothly reposition itself from pickup to a five-passenger luxury vehicle. The resourcefulness of the Escalade EXT is also quite impressive. The sports utility truck comes with some advanced features like Stabilitrak friction management and road-sensing break, four-wheel ABS, Midgate accumulator, GM's OnStar communications and piloting system, Ultrasonic rearward Parking support, four-wheel ABS, front and side airbags.

However, probably the most innovative feature associated with the EXT is a Convert-a-Cab composite pickup. You can spread out the bed into the truck's cab through a bottom-hinged door. Once introduced to capture the market share of Lincoln Blackwood, the EXT is now putting up tough challenge to Lincoln Mark LT, F-150-based pickup truck introduced in 2006. The pickup truck offers impeccable ride quality with Cadillac's road sensing suspension. Add to that its fabulous safety arrangements such as StabiliTrak and traction control. Also to watch out for is its awesome powertrain specification. The Cadillac Escalade EXT hits the road with powerful V8 engine capable of producing 345-horsepower.
