2010 Chevrolet Malibu Review

The 2010 Chevrolet Malibu is a middle sized classy sedan that represents loads of excellence. It fits into the Chevy lineup directly underneath the bigger Impala. It has been designed and manufactured to compete with the 2010 Toyota Camry, the 2010 Hyundai Sonata, the Honda Accord, the Nissan Altima and the Ford Fusion for 2010.

Pricing for the Chevrolet Malibu goes between $21,825 and $26,605. EPA estimations for fuel efficiency rate at 22/30 MPG city/highway respective (26/34 for hybrid models). In 2008, the Malibu was re-engineered comprehensively. Its new platform created increased levels of ride smoothness, cab and quietness, handling responsiveness and collision safety. Coincidentally, all Malibus are front wheel driven and have four doors.

The 2010 Chevy Malibu features newly designed low-rolling-resistance tires. The result is an increase in fuel efficiency of 2 miles of travel for every gallon of fuel spent. It presents surprising levels of power when it is equipped with the optional V6 engine. And even with the 2.4L four-cylinder base engine, ride quality and pep is never an issue. Inside of the cabin, every instrument and control is simplistic to operate and visually pleasing. The only negative element to mention would be that there are a number of hard plastic items that take away from the otherwise high-quality interior.

Passengers experience generous seating spaciousness in the Chevy Malibu for 2010. The seats are firm, yet comfortable and provide more than adequate support even on long journeys. And even when compared with the Honda Accord and the Toyota Camry, the Malibu does more than hold its ground. In fact, to choose between them would come down to matters of hair splitting and being overly picky.

Standard features include 17 inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth connectivity, StabiliTrak stability control, electric power steering and tire pressure monitoring even on base models. V6 models come with hydraulic power steering, cruise control, power mirrors, remote keyless entry and XM satellite radio. You will also enjoy standard auxiliary input jacks, automatic on and off headlights and outside temperature displays. Of course, stepping up from the LS to the 1LT, 2LT, LTZ and hybrid versions, your options for luxury and safety become almost unlimited. And let's not forget that all Chevies come with OnStar roadside assistance for one year standard.

The 2010 Chevrolet Malibu will surprise you - not only with its good looks, but with its loads of standard features and obvious ability to effortlessly compete with more heavy hitters like Honda and Toyota. Attractive price points, excellent safety features, easy-on-the-pocket fuel efficiency and that wonderful Chevrolet reputation are all included with this exciting new midsized sedan.
