2008 Chrysler Town & Country Review

2008 Chrysler Town & Country Review

Some people may snicker at the idea of driving a minivan, thinking that it's just not a cool ride. The "cool factor" aside, this may be a good choice for drivers who want to buy a vehicle that has space to carry several passengers (and all their stuff) from place to place. If these features are important to you, then the 2008 Chrysler Town and Country is worth a look.

The latest version of the Town and Country offers many new features, and one of the more interesting ones is the Swivel 'n Go seating system, an innovative seating solution that the Buick Terraza crossover sport van does not have. The second row of seats can be turned backwards, and a table can be placed in between the second and third row of seats. If you can get used to sitting facing toward the back of the vehicle while it is in motion, this may be a better way to travel if you want to have the freedom to work while in transit, or if you have children who like to draw or play games while on the road.

Buying an 2008 Town and Country means you are getting a front-wheel drive vehicle with a 4.0 liter, V-6 engine. It also comes with four-wheel disc ABS brakes.

Optional features on the Town and Country available include the following:

  • Power Adjustable Pedals
  • Stability Control
  • Heated Seats (Front and Second Row)
  • AC (Dual Zone and Rear Automatic)
  • Backup Camera Display

This 2008 Chrysler model has a couple of interesting security features as well. Its Advanced Multistage Front Air Bags can actually "sense" the severity of the impact and deploy with the appropriate level of force. (While this is a great safety feature, it does not mean that either the driver or their passengers should be riding without a seatbelt.) The 2008 version of the Town and Country is also outfitted with Supplemental Side Curtain Airbags to protect passengers no matter where they happen to be sitting.

With a 5-star Crash Test rating for both front and side impacts, the Town and Country is a good choice when you are looking for a reliable vehicle that you can count on to protect those you love the most. The addition of an Electronic Stability Program as a standard feature means that your vehicle will be easy to handle in even the worst weather conditions.

For a MSRP of $23,595, you are getting a lot of value. If you are in the market for a minivan, the 2008 Chrysler Town and Country is worth considering.
