2010 Dodge Dakota Review
The comfortable and convenient 2010 Dodge Dakota is available in 11 separate trims, two drive configurations and two cab styles. The Dakota is big and strong too, much like a full-sized Ram. As a matter of fact, it's bigger than any other midsized pickup. Its attitude is full-sized though; and it has the power to make you notice it. It's a simple truck to get along with; easy to get in, comfortable inside and was straightforward controls that don't require an engineering degree to operate. Although a stock 6-cylinder, a V8 version of the 2010 Dakota is available as well. And when properly equipped, it tows more than 7000 pounds.
Suggested retail pricing for the 2010 Dakota from Dodge ranges from $22,755 up to $33,180. $3000 Cash Back, a 60-Day Handshake deals and other excellent financing incentives are available from Dodge right now. Dakotas feature a 3.7L Magnum V6 powerplant that delivers 210-horsepower and 235 pound-feet of torque. It's EPA estimated to travel 20 miles per gallon of fuel spent on the highways, 15 in the cities. Optionally, a Flex-Fuel 4.7L V8 that generates 302 horses and 329 lb-ft is offered. Steering is simplistic and maneuverability is impressive as the Dakota reacts quickly to the driver's commands.
Most trims of the 2010 Dakota Dodge are able to accommodate (roughly) a 1600 pound payload. The Dakota is a brawny, capable character that looks its part. It's boldly styled hood, fascia, grill and fenders make no apologies when they enter any scene. On the inside, the convenient central console and instrumentation panel take front stage. Advanced technological features like the 20 GB hard drive MyGIG navigation/audio system and heated seats are graciously offered. And other interesting features like the underseat cargo storage spaces make the Dakota both practical and enjoyable.
The 2010 Dodge Dakota requires 21.6 feet of turning radius and features a 22.0-gallon fuel tank. At 15/20 mpg city/highway, that means traveling more than 400 miles per tank is a distinct possibility. That's impressive, especially considering curb weights of more than 4000 pounds. Exterior measurements are 218.5, 76.4 and 68 inches respectively for base model length, width and height. All trims feature a 131.3-inch wheelbase and clear the ground by at least 7.4 inches. Stretch out on the inside with 40 inches of headroom, 58 inches of shoulder room, 55 inches of hip room and 41.9 inches of legroom for frontal passengers. Standard seating is for four or five adults depending on the cab style selected. Safe and dependable, the Dodge Dakota has been a solid member of the American pickup truck family since 1987. Try one out, why don't ya?
