2012 Dodge Journey

Posted: 06/18/2012 - 12:34 PM ET

Over the years crossover SUVs have become increasingly popular among American consumers. The 2012 Dodge Journey caters to this popularity. With an MSRP that starts at just $18,995 the 2012 Journey is far more affordable than some of its class competitors. This year’s journey comes available in just 6 colors, including Brilliant Red Tri-Coat Pearl, Blue Pearl Coat, Copperhead Pearl Coat, Pearl White Tri-Coat, Storm Gray Pearl Coat and Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl Coat. It’s not just the colors that have been redesigned on this crossover SUV; the entire exterior and interior have received drastic improvements as well. The wheels come with options for either 17” aluminum-alloy or 19” aluminum alloy wheels 5 Y-spokes that add to the visual appeal of this stunning crossover. It also has dual exhaust pipes and Dodge’s signature grille, as well as an exterior redesigned to improve aerodynamics.

Inside the cabin, the 2012 Dodge Journey will seat up to 7 adults. Consumers do complain that the third row seating is somewhat cramped and uncomfortable. The available leather seating and soft-touch dash and inside panels give the entire cabin a luxurious feel. Keyless entry further adds to the overall luxury and convenience of this crossover. Can you believe with all this it starts at under $19,000? That’s not the end of it either. The Journey also has not one, but two touchscreens inside. The first is an 8.4-inch touchscreen GPS navigations system for directions, Sirius XM satellite radio and more, while the second is a 4.3-inch screen for accessing AM/FM/CD. It also comes with Bluetooth connectivity that allows for voice-automated commands. There are also voice commands for the radio, CD and MP3 players.

There are a few engine options for this year’s Journey. The base model offers a 2.0-liter I4 engine with just 173 horses and is able to obtain 26 MPG on the highway, while the premium model offers consumers a much more powerful 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 283 ponies straddled under the hood. This version is still able to obtain a wallet-friendly 25 MPG on the highway. The premium model also comes with an option for all-wheel drive for those times when your travels take you off the paved path. It also comes with a 2,500-pound towing capacity, so you can take your trailer with a boat or whatever you may need, on your travels with you. Both models are able to drive over 500 miles between fill-ups, so you can spend more time in the comfort and convenience of the Journey, rather than in the heat, filling up at gas stations. Still not convinced? The 2012 Dodge Journey SXT was awarded one of Ward’s 10 Best.

With all of the improvements made to the exterior, interior and engine, it would be easy to see how the manufacturer could skimp on the safety precautions. This is simply not the case. The 2012 Dodge Journey comes with Electronic Stability Control, which will automatically correct the course of the vehicle in the event of a skid or slide. Electronic Roll Mitigation, Rear Park Assist and a tire pressure monitoring system all add to the safety of riding in a Journey. If you have been looking for a reliable, affordable, durable and stylish family car, then the 2012 Dodge Journey has to be one of your top choices.

I also like various journeys. Last year I was traveling at South Africa. It was a really fantastic time. Many great routes I have found at here by the way. Your story is also inspiring and I hope to do the same like you in the nearest future. Thanks!
