The SR trim of the 2009 Dodge Caliber offers a 285hp 2.0L 6-cylinder engine and a 36 months or 36,000 miles warranty.

From its aggressive yet sleek look to the spacious interior cabin, the 2008 Dodge Caliber offers families on the go the room they want and the safety they need.

The 2007 Dodge Caliber was created to replace the Neon, and does so admirably, with options for front- or all-wheel drive, making it an excellent car during all four seasons of the year.
The new Dodge Caliber was first released for the 2007 model year and was developed to be a replacement for the long-running Dodge Neon. The Caliber is a 5-door hatchback that is placed in the compact car category. Its distinct design quickly raised eyebrows from reviewers and consumers alike. Some were pleased with the steeply arched roof, while others were disappointed with the unique style, claiming that Dodge had simply created an ugly car. However, since the Caliber's inception, it has become one of Dodge's bestsellers and is apparently set to become the focus of upcoming Dodge marketing campaigns. With a base MSRP of $13,985 and an EPA rating of 24 mpg city and 29 mpg hwy, the Caliber is affordable for both young families and singles on a budget, which has given the model a wide fan base stretching across all age groups and income levels.
Under the hood, buyers have their choice of four different engine models: 1.8L GEMA I4, 2.0L GEMA I4, 2.0L Volkswagen Diesel I4, or 2.4L GEMA I4. With either a five or six-speed manual or Jatco CVT available, consumers have been pleased with the level of customization available in the Caliber. Also, the available four-wheel drive package gives the Caliber off-roading capabilities that most other models in its class cannot provide. With the overwhelming popularity of the Dodge Caliber, the maker has reentered the Australian market, and now sells the vehicle down under as well.
Dodge has not left the Caliber behind when it comes to racing aptitude either. Like several other Dodge models, the Caliber has received the SRT-4 trim level. This trim includes a 2.4L DOHC turbocharged I4 that generates around 285 horsepower. The Getrag 6-speed manual provides an additional level of control in the SRT-4, while an enhanced suspension and brake system give the Caliber SRT-4 a true racing feel. According to reports, Dodge is planning a complete makeover of the model for the 2010 or 2011 model year that will possibly include a more powerful engine level and a convertible version.
The Dodge Caliber has been highlighted in several movies and on television. Primetime shows include Desperate Housewives and Heroes. Also, Quentin Tarantino thought highly enough of the Caliber to include it in his recent Grindhouse film titled Death Proof. The Price is Right has also featured the Caliber as one of the cars that contestants can win after completing a series of pricing games. The film Deck the Halls, starring Danny DeVito, also spotlighted the Caliber during several scenes.
