The 2007 Ford Freestar minivan is available in the SE ($24,540), SEL ($27,500), and Limited ($30,385) editions. With seating for seven, the Freestar offers 130.7 cubic feet posterior to the first row; 70.4 behind the second row; and 27.5 behind the third.

Engine options are the 3.9-liter V6 producing 243 horsepower or the 4.2-liter V6 putting out 201 horsepower. Estimated mileage is 18 city/24 highway for the 3.9 liter and 17/23 for the 4.2 liter. The transmission is an automatic with four speeds and overdrive as an automatic function.

With an AM/FM/CD combo standard, the Freestar offers an optional DVD unit to the rear that has a screen that is mounted from the ceiling. The system employs wireless headphones and connects to the posterior audio controls. All the vans use the standard LATCH system of anchors for child safety seats and the locks to the rear are rated as child safe. The all-wheel brakes are disc models that include technology for anti-locking with an option to equip the vehicle with Advance Trac brakes.

All Freestars are equipped with the SecuriLock system to dissuade theives and a perimeter sensing system can be added to the security unit. Entry via a remote is standard across the line with driver door keypads available on the SEL and Limited models.

The 2007 Ford Freestar SE has bucket seats in the front covered in cloth upholstery. (Seats in the SEL have lower backs.) Leather trim is used on the Limited edition.
