The 2007 Ford Ranger pick-ups start at $14,495 for the XL and progress through the STX ($15,610), XLT ($16,135), Sport ($16,775), FX4 Off-Road ($22,620), and FX4 Level II ($24,950).

Rangers come equipped with either a six or seven foot cargo bed with a cubic foot volume of 37.4 and 43.6 respectively. Regular cab models seat three with the supercab seating five.

Engine options start with a 2.3-liter, 143 horsepower with a five-speed manual that gets 24 mpg city and 29 highway. The 3-liter V6 five-speed manual has 148 horsepower with 17 city, 22 highway. The 4-liter V6 with 207 horsepower as a five-speed automatic gets 17 city / 22 highway.

An AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio combo unit is optional on the XL and STX (standard on these models is an AM/FM clock) and included on the XLT, Sport, and FX4 Off-Road. The FX4 Level II can include either an AM/FM/MP3 with a changer in the dash capable of holding six discs or a Pioneer 290-watt CD Sound System (optional on all models above the XL). SIRIUS Statellite Radio is optional on all models except the XL.

All models of the 2007 Ford Ranger have a system in the front to sense passengers and to deploy the two-stage airbags appropriately. The included SecuriLock system is intended to prevent automotive theft. All-wheel brakes include anti-locking technology and children's car seats are anchored with the standard LATCH system.
