2010 Ford Mustang Review
The 2010 Ford Mustang represents the first major refreshing of the S197 platform muscle car since its release in 2005. The underlying characteristics of this hit seller will remain intact, but there will be various changeups made concerning the lineup, available powertrains and both interior and exterior design standards. Coupe and convertible body styles will be available very soon. An assortment of V8 engines and a V6 engine are also offered. There's even talk that Ford will be offering the 2010 model with the newly-designed twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 as an option.
The 2009 Mustang will have a very short model year and remain identical to the 2008 version. The 2010 Mustang will be released in spring of 2009 and promises to be a huge hit for the struggling automaker. If it follows the long-ago lead of the 641/2 Mustang, the 2010 model should be available in April. Base model MSRPs for the V8 Mustangs for 2010 will be just under $31,000.
There will be an optional heavy, tinted glass roof that will grant all occupants an open, airy feeling inside the cabin. It will not be a singular piece though. It will be necessarily divided from side to side of the vehicle to ensure structural rigidity. The cabin itself will be redesigned to include a more driver-friendly domain. Increased space will be allotted for the bigger central stack, a larger navigational screen and a more sophisticated and space-taking audio control center.
The new millennium war between the Big 3 (Ford, Chevy and Dodge) will be hopping as the 2010 models emerge. The Dodge Challenger and Camaro are beefed up and ready to compete for first place in the muscle car realm - and Ford completely anticipates their onslaught. Exciting competition is a definite given - and it begins very soon. Of course, the Mustang has a good advantage in momentum as well as the fact that the Mustang is, well...the Mustang. That's difficult to compete with by any standards.
New color schemes for the interiors and exteriors have been added. There are uncommon colors for the body like burnt orange and powder blue as well. Of course, you will have a load of optional luxury and safety feature made available to you. These modern sports machines can actually be quite accommodating - especially when you take a trip through time and remember the way they used to come out of the gates.
The 2010 Ford Mustang is not meant for fuel efficiency. No details are available yet - and they really do not matter much to the audience that will purchase these street runners. Remember that the Mustang is a legend. It has always been and will forever be a sports car - not meant for the weak-hearted or the easily frightened. Watch for the new Mustangs to begin arriving soon - and be prepared for the thrills that they are sure to bring along. Listen for their gallop.
