Ford F-250 Super Duty 2WD

Though the Ford F-250 name was in vogue since the year 1953, The Ford F-250 Super Duty made its debut in the year 1999. The new Super Duty had a range of engines from which it would derive its power. There was the 5.4-liter V8 or the 6.8-liter V10 in the gasoline engines and a 7.3-liter V8 for those wanting to buy a diesel version. The Super Duty had five manual gears. It was available in three versions, The XL, XLT and The Lariat. In 2001, Ford added ABS to all four tires and a sensor to help the driver help park the vehicle while reversing. The next year Ford added two more manual gears to the vehicle. The second generation Ford F250 hit the roads in 2006, with three versions, the regular cab, Super Seating, and Crew seating configuration. The new generation Super Duty is powered with three types of engines, 5.4-liter V8, 6.8-liter V10 and a 6.0-liter Power Stroke Diesel V8. Though the truck is available with six manual gears, it can also be ordered with five automatic gears. There are three versions of the truck, the XL which is an entry level model that comes with no frills. It has manual windows, a basic radio and no air conditioning. The XLT has cloth seats, air-conditioning and a CD player. The Lariat has leather seats and a one touch seat setting for the driver.

For the model year 2008, the Ford F-250 Super Duty is coming in three sizes regular, extended and crew cab. There are four versions of the F-250 namely the XL, XLT, FX4 and the Lariat. Buyers can choose between a 5.4 Liter V8 and a 6.8 Liter V10 to power the vehicle. The Extended style has two small doors in the back, while the cab with the crew style has four normal doors. Though anti-lock brakes have been provided there are no airbags to protect the driver or passengers.
