2007 GMC Yukon Review

The 2007 GMC Yukon is available in the base model, the XL, and the Denali/XL Denali configurations with an MSRP range of $35,265 to $44,345. Available engines include a 4.8-liter V8 generating 295 horsepower standard on the SLE 2WD models, a 5.3-liter V8 producing 320 horsepower standard on all other 2WD models, and an available Flex-Fuel version of the 5.3-liter V8 that will accept E85 ethanol. (The Flex-Fuel engine is standard on all 4WD models and optional on the 2WDs.)

The Yukon has a maximum seating capacity of nine with measurable cargo volume of 108.9 cubic feet. Available seating types include a front bench configured as a three-way split (40/20/40); buckets in the front that recline; a middle bench configured to a two-way split (60/40) split; captain's chairs in the middle row; and a two or three-passenger bench in the third row configured for an even two-way split (50/50).

The vehicles have automatic running lights for daytime use. Occupants are protected by two-level airbags in the front. The included OnStar system will be automatically notified of the deployment of the air bags. Entry with a remote and a system to monitor the pressure of the air in the tires (with data posted to a centrally located information system) are also standard features.

The 2007 GMC Yukon includes a standard AM/FM combo with the ability to play back MP3 and to use CDs as a standard feature on the SLE. Drivers of the SLT gain a changer in the dash capable of handling six discs. Premium entertainment options include XM Satellite Radio and a DVD playback unit for the rear seat.
