2010 GMC Acadia Review
The 2010 GMC Acadia price ranges from $31,740 up to $42,185, with very impressive abilities to haul up to eight passengers in comfort, and lots of cargo as well. In its segment, it competes with the Chevrolet Traverse, the Ford Flex, the Honda Pilot and the Mazda CX-7. It offers purchasers the utility and practicality of a large sized traditional SUV, yet it is classified as a crossover. That means that it features car-style unibody construction and truck-like looks.
While all crossovers around the country have been gaining considerable favor, especially from family purchasers, the specifications in the 2010 GMC Acadia review stand apart. It's big - real big for a crossover SUV. Size wise, it is comparable to the Yukon and the Chevrolet Tahoe on the inside and on the out. Eight people really can fit inside of it, with their cargo, and still take even long trips in complete comfort. And the kicker is that it is considerably more fuel efficient than most of its competitors. The Acadia delivers what people desire in a full-sized SUV: roominess, power, fuel efficiency and confidence.
When you helm the GMC Acadia, you feel strong and able. Not only does the vehicle sit high above the ground, the seating positions are raised as well. And it's not just a feeling; when you properly equip the new Acadia, you will be able to tow up to 5200 pounds behind you. That's considerable for any crossover SUV. In comparison, the new Yukon is rated at 7500 pounds for towing. The Acadia is also available with an all-wheel-drive configuration that will take you through the slipperiest and muddiest terrain scenarios.
The GMC Acadia for 2010 is powered by a 3.6L 288hp 270 lb-ft direct injected V6 engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission. It's responsive and smooth running. It's efficient, delivering an impressive 17/24 miles per gallon of fuel spent in the cities and on the highways respectively. Three separate rows of seating provide comfort and spaciousness for all occupants. Of course, six people would maximize the riding pleasure, but seven or eight fit quite well also. And there is still plenty of room left over for luggage, gear, groceries and other cargo.
The 2010 GMC Acadia is also loaded with standard safety features. SUVs are traditionally purchased for practical, family use and GMC is not going to neglect safety. An impressive array of airbags, torso protection devices, electronic stability control and various other active features for safety provide drivers and passengers great peace of mind. Convenient features like standard Bluetooth connectivity, a state of the art navigational system with real time traffic reports, a very nice DVD entertainment system in the rear and power outlets that handle 115 volts are all also included. Oh, and don't forget the rear view camera that projects it's a displays onto your rear view mirror. That's one sell point then everybody is taken by.
Power, comfort, luxury, loads of standard features and impeccable safety ratings are all included in the 2010 GMC Acadia. It's a family friendly vehicle that definitely overdelivers. It's hard not to want one for yourself when you see them. You will do well to check one out soon.
