2007 Jeep Wrangler Review

There are six models of the 2007 Jeep Wrangler with the Unlimited editions featuring four-wheel drive. The line includes the Wrangler X ($18,895), the Unlimited X ($20,640), the Sahara ($23,660), the Unlimited Sahara ($24,965), the Rubicon ($26,880), and the Unlimited Rubicon ($29,125). All are equipped with a 202 horsepower, 3.8 liter V6 engine.

The Wrangler four-door model comes standard with a soft top and an optional hard top in three modular pieces. Altogether there are fifty top and door configurations for the Wrangler line with an additional fourteen combinations possible when the windshield is in a folded position.

Depending on the model and with the proper equipment in place, the Wrangler can tow loads of as much as 3,500 lbs. The vehicle's central system for venting is sealed, which protects the components of the drivetrain and gives the Wrangler exceptional capability to ford water up to a depth of 30 inches. (As additional protection the interior panels are double-sealed.)

All 2007 Jeep Wranglers have hydraulics in place for brake assist with systems to control traction and to compensate for potential roll overs. Occupants are protected by a comprehensive system of multiple level air bags. Additionally, the front of the vehicle is outfitted with a controller for occupant restraint controller and sensors to gauge impact. These two features work in concert to appropriately deploy the airbags according to the measured severity of the collision.
