2010 Jeep Liberty Review

The stock factory engine that powers the 2010 Jeep Liberty is a 210-horse 3.7L SOHC V6 that cranks out 235 lb-ft of torque through a 4-speed advanced automatic transmission with full electronic control. The V6 features all-aluminum, lightweight pistons with connecting rods manufactured from precision-forged powder metal. There's a special Tow/Haul button on the Jeep Liberty 2010. It's located right next to the gear shifter and, when depressed, acts to maximize fuel economy and simultaneously reduce engine noise while heavy loads are being towed or hauled. It limits the amount of power available to be generated in fourth gear; and also allows for third gear upshifts when traveling with lighter loads. When properly equipped, the new Liberty is able to tow up to 5000 pounds. And of course, the standard system for providing Trailer Sway Control makes handling very responsive even in crosswinds, heavy traffic and other adverse towing/hauling situations.

The Trailer Sway Control system of the 2010 Liberty Jeep works in conjunction with a 4-wheel antilock braking system and electronic stability control system in order to optimize your family's safety. These are passive safety systems that require no input from the driver. There constantly monitoring, sensing, projecting and standing ready to keep your loved ones safe. And in worst case scenarios, the Electronic Roll Mitigation (ERM) system will automatically correct understeering or oversteering if its senses the vehicle is about to roll. It will apply individual brake pressure, while taking over control of the electronic throttle, to help you regain control. The ERM system can also be manually turned on or off.
