2010 Jeep Wrangler Review
High-strength features like the steel sport roll bar, integrated seamlessly into the floor-welded B-Pillar, are common on the 2010 Jeep Wrangler. It's been masterfully tuned to deliver responsive handling, superior ride quality and high power with low noise. It features 5-link, front and rear, solid axle suspension systems that deliver highly accurate articulation and confidence-instilling durability for all off-road activities. The new Wrangler cares about you on the roads too, delivering smooth, dependable and efficient highway and inner-city transportation. And of course, that distinct Wrangler style still attracts attention from just about everybody you pass by.
You'll find attractive loan, lease and other financing and loan incentives from Jeep currently including 0% APR for 36 months, $500 lease cash allowances and more. The new Wrangler features a 3.8L 202hp 237 lb-ft 60-degree V6 base engine joined up to your choice between a 6-speed manual and 4-speed auto transmission. It delivers 18 highway miles to the gallon as estimated by the EPA. Additional engine specs include:
- Cast iron block;
- Low overlap camshafts;
- Ability to run on 87 octane "regular" gasoline;
- Aluminum alloy cylinder heads;
- Cross bolted main bearing caps;
- Electronic throttle control;
- And loads more...
But that's just the beginning; the Jeep Wrangler 2010 is absolutely stuffed with advanced engineering and manufacturing features. The list of standard safety features alone has made heads spin. It includes:
- Advanced multistage front and side supplemental airbag system;
- High-strength body on frame construction standards;
- 3-point lap and shoulder belts;
- Seat belt pretensioners with load-limiting front seat retractors;
- Off-road certified emergency braking system;
- Replaceable front rail tips that absorb energy during low-speed collisions of 8 miles per hour less;
- Electronic sway bar disconnection device for increasing climbing abilities;
- Best-in-class articulation;
- The stiffest linkage system available for any vehicle with a solid axle platform;
- Tightest in class turning diameter;
- And so many more...
The Jeep Wrangler 2010's electronic stability control system is able to sense when the vehicle is going into a situation of either understeering or oversteering. Automatically, individual brakes are applied, and the throttle is electronically reduced in order to keep you and your family safe and on the road. The Electronic Roll Mitigation system employs strategically placed motion sensors that are constantly computing in recomputing the probability of a rollover. They will apply the brakes for you. They will correct the spin of an individual wheel, or a combination of all wheels, in order to minimize your probability of rollover. Other features like the All-Speed Traction Control system, Electronic Brake Assist, 4-wheel antilock braking and more all jump in and make the Wrangler an incredibly safe vehicle.
The 2010 Jeep Wrangler also includes cool features like an under-floor hidden security storage bin, lockable central console, lockable glove box, panic alarm, keyless entry and so many more. There are simply too many features to list. Summer's here and it's a great time to take a new 2010 Wrangler for a test spin!
