2007 Land Rover LR3 Review

The 2007 Land Rover LR3 is available as a V6 SE for $42,150 (4-liter, 216 horsepower), a V8 SE for $48,950 (4.4-liter, 300 horsepower), and a V8 HSE for $53,950 (4.4-liter, 300 horsepower). All models get an estimated fuel consumption of 14 mpg city and 19 highway with the standard automatic transmission with six speeds and CommandShift. Permanent 4WD with a system for traction control compliments other onboard elements like terrain response, air suspension, and all-wheel brakes.

Standard seating capacity on the V6 SE is five; seven on the V8 SE and HSE. Seats are leather with the second row a 65/35 split in the V6SE and a 35/30/35 on the other models. Drivers enjoy eight levels of adjustment with passengers being afford six. The audio system on the SE models is a 240-watt Harman Kardon unit playing over nine speakers and using a changer in the dash holding six discs. The HSE jumps to a 550-watt unit playing to thirteen speakers.

Maximum payload capacity on the 2007 Land Rover LR3 ranges from 1,325 to 1,806 with maximum trailer weight (with brakes) at 7,700 lbs. (without brakes 1,650.) Occupants are protected by an array of six airbags including those covering the driver and passenger as well as bags in the curtain position for each row of seating. Doors on the LR3 have integrated beams to absorb impact and crumple zones are present to the front and rear.
