2007 Lincoln MKZ Review

The 2007 Lincoln MKZ is available as a FWD model for $29,950 and an AWD for $31,820. Both are powered by a 3.5 liter, 24-valve V6 as an automatic transmission with six speeds and overdrive. Estimated fuel economy is 19 mpg city and 27 highway on the FWD and 18/26 on the AWD.

Occupants are protected by a total of six airbags including bags in the curtain position. The vehicle's frame is constructed of an exceptional grade of steel and a series of crush rails have been designed to cumple in progression to absorb the force of an impact. Brakes on all wheels have technology for anti-locking and force distribution. To guard against the potential for theft, the MKZ is outfitted with the SecuriLock system and entry via a remote or a keypad.

With advanced use of dampening technology, the 2007 Lincoln MKZ's interior is unusually quiet. Some of the measures used to accomplish this include thicker than usual side glass, door seats constructed in one piece, padding placed under the carpet, and multiple layers of other dampening materials. Wood and satin finished nickel are used as interior accents. The seats are trimmed in leather and can be adjusted ten ways with memory for two indivdual setting arrangements. The standard audio package is a combo unit playing across six-speakers and includes MP3 playback capability and an external jack for auxiliary input.
