Read the 2008 Mazda MAZDA6 review for descriptions of the various modesl, performance extras, and aftermarket accessories.

Whatever model you choose from the versatile 2007 Mazda6 line, you'll buy with confidence in Mazda's reputation for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
In 2003, mid size family sedans had become rather bland and regardless of manufacturer they were all starting to look a little like clones. In an attempt to breathe some joy back into the mid size family sedan, the introduction of the brand new 2003 Mazda MAZDA6, which replaced its own fading lines of Millennia and 626 models, was certainly intriguing and visually appealing-more like a sport sedan than a family sedan, yet just as accommodating for daily driving needs. Available as either an 'i' model with 2.3 liter inline 4 cylinder or a 's' model with 3.0, V6 engine. The trademark Mazda grill, outstanding handling and performance combined with sporty good looks definitely brightened up the increasingly mundane world of mid size sedans.
In 2004 a hatchback and wagon style joined the mid size sedan. All models received additional optional equipment packages, but otherwise remained unchanged after a relatively successful first year. The new hatchback and wagon models were released late in 2004 and carried over into the 2005 model year unchanged. However, the 2005 base four door sedans, hatchbacks and wagons were now also available with a Sport, Touring or Grand Touring trim. The base version is nicely equipped, though most would appreciate some of the comfort, convenience and cosmetic enhancements that differentiate the Sport, Touring or Grand Touring models. A 160 horsepower 4 cylinder powers forth the sedans and hatchbacks designated with an 'i' and 's' models are equipped with a 220 horsepower V6. All models were now equipped with anti lock braking systems as part of the standard equipment package and all V6 five speed transmissions were replaced with an all new six speed unit.
The MAZDA6 saw quite a few changes for the 2006 model year. The Sport models were now designed with a side sill and given an even sportier grille, and all models received enhanced fascias in both the front and the rear. Four cylinder models with automatic transmissions were boosted from a four speed to a five speed unit. Safety, security and comfort features were added to the 's' model's standard equipment package.
The entire line of 2007 Mazda MAZDA6's received a lot of attention to the safety and security features for this model year. All models would now include airbags, enhanced traction control mechanisms and anti lock brakes. The model names are changed slightly - what was previously referred to as the base model is now the Sport, and the previous years' Sport is now the Sport Value. Those are basically the only changes to the vehicle that arrived a few years ago to breathe life back into the mid size car segment, and that goal has been accomplished. The combination of multiple configurations and body styles, a sleek and sporty design both inside and out, a performance based suspension package and the safety and reliability that is respectably Mazda, the MAZDA6 delivers a winning combination to those who need four doors or more-but want to have fun when they drive.
