Mazda MAZDASPEED6

In its attempt to change the lack luster perception that often accompanies the term 'mid size sedan', Mazda introduced the MAZDASPEED6 for the 2006 model year. This is definitely not your ordinary family sedan. True, it has four practical doors, a good amount of trunk space and the price is very reasonable, but that's about where the similarity to the typical mid size sedans manufactured previously ends.

Powered by an all wheel drive, turbocharged 2.3 liter 4 cylinder engine and manual transmission, Mazda systematically and carefully blended their sport and performance car expertise into the body of a mid size sedan to create a genuine sport sedan. With the ability to go from 0-60 in 6.1 seconds, the speed of this sedan is secondary only to the superior braking and handling capabilities.

This high powered sedan has a spacious interior with comfortable, plush seating and steering wheel mounted audio controls to operate the Bose premium audio system with in dash CD changer. The exterior of the MAZDASPEED6 subtly hints at the sports car within. Aggressive 18" wheels, complimented by flared front fenders, a new grill, a domed hood, rear spoiler, tinted headlight covers and distinctive tail lights complete the modestly sporty style.

This high powered sedan is available in two trim levels - The Sport and Grand Touring. The Sport includes tilt steering wheel, cruise control HID headlights, automatic climate control and full power windows and doors. The Grand Touring steps it up a notch by adding heated leather front seats, keyless start and 8 way power driver seat. Options include a moon roof and navigation system.

There were no changes to the attractively priced Mazda MAZDASPEED6 for the 2007 model year. Comfortable and fast with a discreetly sporty appearance, the ingeniously designed MAZDASPEED6 thrills and excites with high performance features while filling the need for the utility and practicality of a four door sedan.
