2010 Nissan Cube Review
The highly unique 2010 Nissan Cube is spinning heads on every American highway now. It's whimsical and fun! It delivers excellent fuel economy. Five full grown people can fit inside of its quirky yet very comfortable interior. It's the boxy crossover SUV that houses a practical cabin space and also delivers loads of cargo volume. In fact, the standard 11.4 cubic feet of cargo capacity can be increased up to a whopping 58.1 cubic feet by lowering the rear seating. That's a lot of room for camping gear, skiing supplies cameras, guns and more.
A new Nissan Cube will cost anywhere from $13,990 up to $20,120, at least that's what Nissan recommends. Excellent financing terms are available from Nissan right now too. Cubes are front wheel driven and feature a standard 1.8L 122 horsepower 4-cylinder engine connected to the owner's choice between a 6-speed manual or Xtronic CVT transmission. 4 trim levels of the Cube are available: 1.8, 1.8 L, 1.8 S and 1.8 Krom. An impressive list of standard features, even on base 1.8 trims, including speed-sensitive steering, powered windows, 6-way manual driver seat, anti lock brakes, keyless entry and six separate airbags is bringing in customers from all over America.
S trims of the Nissan Cube 2010 add in Bluetooth, audio controls on a leather steering wheel, cargo cover, six speakers audio system, cruise control and dual vanity mirrors. SL trims further add in standard CVT transmission, automatic climate control and iPod interface. Krom trim levels present a more customized feel and look and feature a chrome grille, USB port, rearview camera, 4.3 inch color video display and an audio system with a Rockford Fosgate subwoofer.
The 2010 Cube 1.8L Nissan is causing eyes to be raised and heads to be scratched by competitors including the Chevrolet Aveo, the Honda Fit and the Toyota Yaris. Called a "mobile hub" by Nissan, it has been designed to accommodate the on-the-go, younger generations. It's a home on the run and great for backpacking, scuba diving, horseback riding... you name it. Although the Cube is a new kid on the block here in the United States, it is already been selling in Japan for a decade. The new Cube here is actually a third generation Cube in its home country. It actually predates its current U.S. competitors including the Scion xB, Kia Soul and the Chrysler PT Cruiser. It's built on the Nissan B platform, the same platform used for the Versa.
You'll find 43 inches of headroom in the front of the 2010 Nissan Cube and 40 in the rear. Further, 52 inches of shoulder room is offered in both the front and the rear. 49 inches of frontal hip room (48 rear) and 42.4 inches of frontal legroom (35.5 rear) complete the interior spaciousness report. The Cube is a small vehicle actually. It measures only 156.7 inches in length, 66.7 in width and 65.0 in height. Its wheelbase is 99.6 inches and it has a curb weight of just 2762 pounds. Well-balanced, practical, comfortable and fuel efficient, the new Nissan Cube now commands a unique spot in the American automotive market.
