2010 Nissan Versa Review

There are two engine choices available for the 2010 Nissan Versa. The smaller of the two is a 1.6L 107 horsepower 111 lb-ft inline four cylinder. Its bigger brother is a 1.8L 122 horsepower 127 lb-ft I4. 1.6L versions come with a standard 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic. 1.8L Versas allow you to choose between a 6-speed manual and the same 4-speed auto. Additionally, the 1.8SL Hatchback is available with an Xtronic CVT tranny. You can expect to achieve 26/34 mpg city/highway with a 1.6L Versa and 26/31 mpg with a 1.8L version.

Having begun its career in 2007, the 2010 Versa from Nissan enters its fourth production year. It is an entry-level, economic and practical car that delivers excellent fuel efficiency ratings - and presents more interior spaciousness than most other vehicles in its class. It is available in six separate trims: the 1.6 Base 4dr Sedan, 1.6 4dr Sedan, 1.8S 4-dr Sedan, 1.8SL 4-dr Sedan, 1.8S 4-dr Hatchback and the 1.8SL 4-dr Hatchback. And with prices ranging from just $9990 up to $16,530, it is one of the few new vehicles available on the planet for less than $10,000. Just imagine how that will shine nicely on your cheaper insurance premiums!

New changes for the Nissan Versa in 2010 include a freshened front grill, newly designed covers for the wheels, 16 inch alloy wheel availability, fresh patterns for interior materials, traction and stability control systems for the SL Versas and a new white-light-illuminated cluster of gauges and meters. Especially for its class, it is very roomy and comfortable inside. Loads of hip room and more than decent amounts of headroom and legroom make the Versa a likewise excellent choice for taller, heavier or bigger drivers.

As you would expect, the 2010 Versa from Nissan demonstrates solid craftsmanship in its interior design and finish standards - especially considering the meager price point. Seating is comfortable, creature features are available and the overall ambiance is quite appreciable. The Versa handles nimbly and is very easy to park even in tight spaces. Its peppy performance standards will excite you! Just because it delivers such impressive fuel economy doesn't mean that it's not a blast to drive.

The 2010 Nissan Versa is the smallest Nissan in the company's entire lineup. And while it is actually smaller on the outside, and certainly less expensive, it offers more interior spaciousness and general versatility than does the Sentra. It competes with the Kia Rio, the Toyota Yaris, the Hyundai Accent and the Chevrolet Aveo to provide you with affordably-priced, dependable transportation. Check out a new Nissan Versa today and take it for a spin!
