Nissan Quest

The first generation Nissan Quest was introduced in 1993 as a minivan. It was a rear-wheel drive vehicle that was available in the XE and GXE versions. Both versions were powered by a 151 horsepower 3.0 Liter engine manufactured by Nissan. They were equipped with a four speed automatic transmission. In 1994, the Quest got an airbag for the driver and anti-lock brakes. The following year, captain's chairs were introduced for those seated in the second row on the GXE version. In 1996, an airbag on the side for the passengers was introduced as well as a new grille, new look bumpers in the front and back and new look head and rear lights.

The second generation Nissan Quest Minivan was introduced in1999. Compared to its first generation counterpart it was 4.6 inches longer in length and 1.2 inches thicker in width, which meant that it gained 9.6 cubic feet of space in its interior. It was powered by a 3.3 Liter V6 engine that was rated at 170 horsepower and had a four speed automatic transmission. It was available in three versions; entry level GXE, SE, and GLE. All three versions were equipped with anti-lock brakes, power door locks, power front windows, air conditioning, and a security system which was equipped with a remote controlled system. The GXE was equipped with a bench seat in the middle that could seat two and be replaced with seats meant to seat children. The SE and GLE versions were equipped with two captain's chairs in the middle. All three versions were equipped with a bench seat in the third row that could seat three. In 2000, a video entertainment system for those seated in the back became optional equipment. In 2001, the GLE version added a CD changer located in the dashboard, a rear shelf to store cargo and 16 inch tires. Added on the SE and GLE versions were leather heated seats and a 130 watt music system.

The third generation Nissan Quest arrived in 2004. It was now available in S, SL, and SE versions. All three versions were powered by a 240 horsepower V6 engine. The S and SL versions were equipped with a four speed automatic transmission and 16 inch tires. The SE version was equipped with a five speed automatic transmission and 17 inch tires. All three versions seated seven passengers and were equipped with anti-lock brakes, traction control, a monitor to check tire pressure and curtain side airbags for all three rows of seats. In 2006, a rear-view camera was added.
