2007 Saturn Outlook Review
The 2007 Saturn Outlook comes in two models, the XE, (base MSRP $27,990) and the XR (starting at $30,290.) Both are powered by a 2.6-liter, 24-valve, V6 VVT with overdrive and a six speed automatic transmission, and both come in either front-wheel or all-wheel drive versions. Fuel economy is rated at 18 mpg city and 26 highway for the FWD models and 17/24 for AWD on a 22 gallon tank.
With maximum seating for 8, the Outlook has a passenger volume of 153.6 cubic feet. Cargo volume depends on configuration. Behind the third row there's an available 19.7 cubic feet behind the third row; 68.9 with the third row folded, and 116.9 with both the second and third rows down. The maximum towing capacity is 4,500 lbs with the tow-package added. The package includes heavy-duty engine cooling, as well as a trailer harness hookup and a trailer hitch.
The OnStar navigational system is a standard feature, as are the array of airbags, which offer mutli-stage protection from front and side impact collisions, and include technology to determine the presence of a passenger in the front seat. Front and rear crumple zones, and energy-absorbing instrument panel and steering column are also part of the safety package.
The 2007 Saturn Outlook comes standard audio system with an AM/FM radio, cd-player and MP3 playback as part of it's stereo system. For an additional $1,295 a DVD entertainment system is also available, as is satellite radio, which costs an extra $199.
