2010 Scion xB Review

The 2010 Scion xB is a carryover from the previous year and still has loads of cool features to offer potential owners. There are two trims available with the only real difference being the transmissions. The MT comes stock with a five speed manual transmission and the AT is equipped with a four speed automatic. The singular engine choice is a 2.4L 158hp 16 valve DOHC, SEFI VVT-I inline four cylinder that cranks out 162 lb-ft of torque at 4000 RPM. Both the engine block and cylinder heads are alloy constructed.

The 2010 xB comes to you with a free scheduled maintenance care package at both 5000 and 10,000 miles. And if you opt for a distributorless ignition model, you will also receive an extended service session in that package. MSRPs range from $15,750 up to $16,700. Fuel efficiency ratings have been reported at 22 miles per gallon in the cities and 28 MPG on the highways.

Scion is big on safety. Standard safety features include electronic stability and traction control, electronic brake assist and a brake force distribution system, side guard door beams, a nice array of air bags, crumple zones in the rear and the front - and a whole lot more. These boxlike vehicles will keep you and your family safe wherever you are traveling to.

Additionally, the Scion xB for 2010 has been designed to be very practical. It's loaded with storage areas. They are under the floor, in the sides of the doors, behind the seats and throughout the vehicle. There are even six cup holders included: four in the front and two in the rear. A 160W Pioneer stereo system is included that has six separate speakers with speed sensitive volume control. It features a CD player as well as an MP3/WMA player, an auxiliary jack for your iPod and even a separate USB Port. It also has an equalizer built in that is preprogrammed to deliver optimal audio pleasure.

Overall vehicular dimensions for the 2010 xB are 167.3 x 69.3 x 64.7 inches in length, width and height respectively. The wheelbase measures 102.4 inches. The impressive cargo volume is measured at 69.9 cubic feet. There's plenty of room for all passengers, largely due to the often misunderstood boxy shape. The fuel tank has a 14 gallon capacity that allows the vehicle to travel between 300 and 400 miles before refueling is necessary.

The 2010 Scion xB is a boldly styled, individualistic front wheel driven wagon that definitely knows how to stand out in a crowd. Its practicality, dependability and value are definitely worth consideration. Loads of techie options are available as well. From upgraded stereo and entertainment systems to an available state of the art navigational system, the xB delivers many choices. Fun to cruise in and sure to turn heads, your new 2010 Scion may well turn out to be your most loved vehicle ever.
