2007 Subaru Legacy Review
The Subaru Legacy is available as both a sedan and a wagon in four models the 2.5i SE (from $20,795), the 2.5i Limited (from $24,095), the 2.5 GT Limited (from $28,295) and the 2.5 GT spec.B (from $33,995).
The 2.5i models are powered by a 175 hp, 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder Subaru Boxer engine. Both have XM Satellite Radio capability and a 100-watt, 6-speaker audio system. (Single disc feed on the 2.5i SE; six-disc, in-dash changer on the 2.5i Limited.) Both feature Subaru's own all-wheel drive system as well as four-wheel independent suspension.
The GT models are outfitted with a 243 hp, 2.5 liter DOHC, engine with both turbo-charging and inter-cooling technology, and feature both a tire pressure monitoring system and an SI-Drive performance management system. (The 2.5 GT spec.B has a touch-screen GPS navigation system and a traction control system as well. .)
Fuel economy on the base 2.5i SE is 22 mpg city, 29 highway with a manual transmission; 23/30 with an automatic. At the top of the line, the 2.5 GT spec.B returns 19 mpg city and 26 highway with a manual transmission.
All vehicles in the 2007 Subaru Legacy line carry a five-star government crash test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
