2007 Toyota Camry Review

The 2007 Toyota Camry is available in five models or trim levels. The Camry CE, LE SE, XLE, and Camry Hybrid are all 4-door sedans. All versions except the hybrid offer a 2.4 liter 16-valve 4-cylinder engine which produces 158 hp @ 6000rpm and 161 lb.-ft. torque @ 4000 rpm. A 5-speed manual overdrive transmission is standard, with a 5-speed automatic with overdrive available. No wonder the Camry has garnered the distinction of being the best selling car in America.

The Toyota Camry Hybrid is powered by a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder gas engine which develops 147 hp @6000 rpm and 138 lb.-ft. torque @4400 rpm. Combined with that is a 40 hp AC synchronous electric motor. The net power developed by the Hybrid System reaches 187 hp (147kW). The traction battery offers a peak output of 30 kW (40 hp). The power is transferred to the wheels through a variable transmission (ECVT).
