The 2010 Toyota Yaris hatchback delivers 29 mpg in the cities and a whopping 36 on the highways. It is not a hybrid! And even though some hybrids on the market do deliver superior fuel economy, the Yaris doesn't cost nearly as much. With manufacturer's suggested pricing ranging between $12,355 and $13,115, the Yaris presents excellent value per dollar. Let's just say that it would take a lot of driving to make up for the sticker price differences via savings at fuel pumps. And don't let the those low numbers fool you: the Yaris hatchback has been very well-crafted - both inside and out.
The 2010 Yaris Hatchback from Toyota is a front wheel driven vehicle. It features a 1.5L 106-horsepower 4-cylinder engine that is joined to a standard 5-speed manual gearbox (5-speed auto optional). Classified as an ultra light emissions vehicle, it's a quick, efficient means of daily transportation that is especially well-suited for inner-city travels. And in addition to its peppy performance, it is also surprisingly agile. The Yaris hatchback delivers road manners and ride quality that seem out of place considering the low price tag.
The Toyota Yaris Hatchback for 2010 features 6 standard airbags, 4-wheel ABS, tilt steering, steel wheels and quite comfortable bucket seating in front. It competes very effectively with the Chevrolet Aveo, Honda Fit, Hyundai Accent and the Nissan Versa. Cruise control and satellite audio systems are optionally available. The Yaris is exceptionally practical an very enjoyable to command. Its European-like exterior styling is surprisingly aerodynamic. You'll also find 3 separate glove boxes and plenty of other cubbyholes, cup holders and the like.
The 2010 Toyota Yaris Hatchback is a snub-nosed, bubble-like vehicle available in both 3-door and 5-door trims. It's really not that big. Exterior dimensions are only 150.6 x 66.7 x 60.0 (l,w,h) with a 96.9 inch wheelbase. Entering the cabin is simplistic as it rides only 5.5 inches above the ground. The Yaris Hatchback also features a 2290-pound curb weight on base models. Still, you will find 39 inches of headroom and 40.3 inches of legroom in the front. The 9.3 cubic feet of standard luggage capacity can be expanded up to 25.7 cubic feet by folding the rear seating flat. And even with its small 11.1 gallon fuel tank, you can expect to travel well over 300 miles per fill up. Practical, agile and very fuel efficient, the Toyota Yaris Hatchback presents some of the best bang for your buck in the entire automotive industry.
