2011 Toyota Avalon Review
With retail pricing between $32,245 and $35,485, the 2011 Toyota Avalon pridefully remains as Toyota's flagship full sized family sedan. Craftsmanship of high quality, fluent handling and loads of style or all included. 2 trims are offered: Limited and Base. Either choice features a 3.5L 268hp V6 engine, joined up with a 6-speed automatic gearbox with manual shifting capabilities. The EPA reports that the new Avalon will travel 20/29 mpg urban/rural, making you able to travel up to over 500 miles on a single tank. The BMW 328, Ford Taurus, Hyundai Azera and the Subaru Legacy are just a few of the competitors that are looking at the Avalon at least a bit nervously.
Base trim versions of the 2011 Avalon by Toyota will surprise you with the amount of luxurious standard features offered. Even stripped-down models come with:
- Bluetooth wireless connectivity;
- Bluetooth audio streaming;
- USB Port;
- Satellite radio;
- Power moonroof;
- 17-inch alloy wheels;
- 2-zone automatic climate control;
- Leather upholstery;
- Projector-style headlamps;
- Loads more...
Obviously, that's a lot of standard bells and whistles for the base trim of any vehicle. And you won't be too surprised to learn that there are still excellent Toyota financing incentives in place. Step up to the Limited version of the Avalon Toyota 2011 and be further treated to standard features including:
- Push button starting;
- Smart Key passive entry;
- Ventilated and heated front seats;
- 6-disc CD changer;
- Power rear shades;
- HID xenon low-beam headlights;
- More...
A high-tech voice-activated, touchscreen navigation system is optionally available for either trim. But don't think that the new Avalon from Toyota is only concerned with fancy tech features; it has you very well covered in terms of standard safety features as well. Electronic stability and traction control systems, overhead curtain airbags for both rows of seating, anti-whiplash active frontal head restraints and a rear parking assist camera have all become standard features for 2011. And of course, Toyota is entering into the new decade with freshened styling and upgraded quality levels for interior materials. Also, don't forget that the entire line of OnStar applications are available.
The all new 2011 Toyota Avalon features a curb weight of 3572 pounds (Base trims), 197.6 inches of length, 72.8 inches of width and 58.5 inches of height, all traveling atop a 111.0-inch wheelbase. Ground clearance is reported at 5.3 inches. All Avalons our front wheel driven, require 18.5 feet of turning radius and are able to tow up to 1000 pounds. Additionally, they are able to haul up to 870 pounds of payload. 14.4 cubic feet of luggage capacity will be found in the trunk and standard seating is for five. Interior spaciousness is more than adequate for all passengers and includes a very nice 40.9 inches of legroom for rear passengers (41.3 for front occupants). It's one of the few vehicles available that do not try to glorify their interior room by making rear passengers squeeze in like sardines. Explore the new Avalon further today.
