The 2010 Volvo XC70 is america's favorite off-road family adventure wagon. With moderate pricing between $37,950 and $42,800, it grants you copious amounts of comfort, stability - and most of all, peace of mind. It specializes in providing safe family-based transportation when the terrain gets rough, adverse weather arises, or the roads run out of pavement. For many years running now, the XC70 has remained one of the most chosen vehicles on the planet amongst outdoor enthusiasts.
Especially for 2010, the standard XC70 from Volvo features a PZEV version of its base 3.2L 235hp (6200 RPM) 236 lb-ft (3200 RPM) I6 engine. And for serious thrill seekers, you may also choose the turbocharged 3.0L 281hp (5600 RPM) 295 lb-ft (1500 RPM) I6 engine of the high-performance T6 trim. The Geartronic 6-speed automatic transmission that comes with either trim allows drivers to select between shifting modes to compliment their driving styles. Either powertrain combination will grant you confident security as you travel through high snow, slippery mud, mountainous regions and twisting, unpredictable roads. And the XC70 is simultaneously very comfortable for all occupants even on the longest highway runs.
Although impressively equipped to do so, the XC70 Volvo wagon for 2010 has no interest in posing for pictures at malls; instead, it likes to get down and dirty in the mud. A long list of both passive and active standard safety features have been incorporated to maintain Volvo's excellent reputation for keeping your family members safe including:
- Hill Descent Control;
- EBD (electronic brake force distribution);
- 4-wheel ABS;
- Electronic stability control;
- Side curtain/side impact airbags;
- Bluetooth hands-free communication;
- And that's just getting started...
The XC70 2010 Volvo can haul up to 1200 pounds and tow up to 3307. Both trims are all wheel-driven and require 18.8 feet of radius for turning. Delivering 16/22 mpg urban/rural, you will be able to travel an easy 350 miles per fill up of its 18.5 gallon fuel reservoir. On the inside of its very comfortable cabin, both front and rear passengers will be treated to 39 inches of headroom, 57 inches of shoulder room and 55 inches of hip room. And while front passengers enjoy 41.9 inches of toe-extending legroom, rear passengers are restricted a bit at 34.6 inches only.
The 2010 Volvo XC70 seats 5 adults comfortably and offers plenty of cargo volume as well: 72.1 cubic feet in fact. It's also a vehicle that has been designed compactly on the outside. Exterior measurements of 190.5 x 75.8 x 63.1 inches in length, width and height contain its body which rides on a 110.8 inch wheelbase. It carries its curb weight of 4092 pounds well above the ground at 8.3 inches. The XC70 is solidly positioned as America's frontrunning off-road family transporter and don't forget that you can save big money on 2009 xc70 models right now. The 2010 XC70 is a carryover.
