2011 Volvo C70 Review
The 4-seated 2011 Volvo C70 features genius levels of styling, elegance and innovative design. In fact, it's retractable hardtop has been called an engineering masterpiece by many experts. No soft top is available and would only detract from the total package if it were. The stock engine is a 2.5L inline-five cylinder that generates 227 horses at 5000 RPM and 236 pound-feet of torque at a low revving 1500 RPM. That gives it the ability to tow lightweight watercraft, trailers and more up to 2000 pounds. The 5-speed Geartronic auto tranny kicks in to help generate an EPA-estimated, and very respectable, fuel economy rating of 19/28 MPG city/highway. A full 15.9-gallon fuel tank will let you travel an easy 350 miles.
The C70 hardtop convertible by Volvo 2011 has been designed with safety as a major consideration. Volvo's reputation of building ultra-safe vehicles is well-earned and longstanding. Standard safety features for the C70 include:
- Electronic stability control;
- Electronic traction control;
- 4-wheel antilock braking;
- Electronic brake force distribution;
- Front, side and side curtain airbags;
- Volvo Rollover Protection System;
- Many more...
Soft leather upholstery, the standard five-speed Geartronic, Sirius satellite radio, new headlights, new tail lights, new front fenders and loads of interior and exterior tweaks are all new features for the 2011 C70 Volvo. The company suggests a singular base price point: $39,950. You'll cruise in well-balanced style with the C70's 180.4 inch length, 72.3 inch width and 55.1 inch height. Its 3640-pound curb weight is carried efficiently on its 103.9 inch wheelbase. And while entering the comfortable cabin space, you will be required to step up 5.5 inches off the ground.
Just because the C70 is a convertible doesn't mean that it's not spacious. As you would expect with a convertible, rear passengers are slightly cramped in terms of legroom only. Otherwise, 42 inches of hip room, 47 inches of shoulder room and 38 inches of headroom abound in the rear. Front passengers have things slightly better with 38 inches of headroom, 54 inches of shoulder room, 53 inches of hip room and a stretchable 42.3 inches of legroom. Very similar to other like-sized convertibles, a non-expanding 12.8 cubic feet of cargo capacity exist in the trunk.
You'll find excellent financing options and incentives available for the 2011 Volvo C70 at present. 3.49% APR financing up to 72 months and the $1000 Bonus Cashback program are generating lots of attention. Optional features for comfort, technology and just basically spoiling yourself are available to effectively create just the convertible you've been dreaming of. An optimal blending of performance, safety, elegance and style, the C70 is available for test driving today.
